I was raised to hate Buffalo. Our snow crews were all the time having to go down to dig them out. Sometimes their hockey teams destroyed our dreams. They were American. There were lots of reasons to hate Buffalo.
But during my biodiesel years I learned that Buffalo had a bunch of cool stuff going on. As did Cleveland. As did Orlando. As does every town on earth. And that changed my perception of the world. If Buffalo could be cool--anything could be cool, and when I could open my heart to Buffalo, I could open my heart to anything.
Since then I have visited Buffalo many times. It's a great town. Tonight I discovered their waterfront for the first time. I can see how this place could be bumping.
My COVID test results did not arrive today, which means I missed my appointment at the Canadian border. Which means I get to hang around in Buffalo.
Which is a good time to let my memories of Buffalo wash over me, and a good time to tell this place how much I love it...
I'm hearing the labs are backed up with back-to-school tests.I hope you don't miss the boat!
